Stil trying to figure out how I'm passive and assertive at the same time... yet it seems to make sense.

"I'll update once a week." "I will finally get this right." "I really should update more."

I've been saying that a lot in a bunch off entries and it just hasn't been cutting it. At least Diplocon II is over which means that I get a lot more time to worry about everything else. I've been told I haven't updated my site either so I'll be doing that in case anyone wants to check it out.

What has happened? Well, in the last 4 months a lot has happened which means I can cut through the mainly boring stuff and give the bigger higlights.

My parents came to visit me during family weekend and that was really nice. We ended up hanging out through most of the weekend going to Rocky Horror (yes they came with me to Rocky Horror), the Lancaster Brewery (great place, especially if you like beer), and they came to dinner at the D-Hall with my friends from here. It was altogether fun and people seemed to enjoy meeting my family as well. Only think left is for them to meet my sister. That'll be interesting.

We also had a very successful Diplocon II. We made around $1000. Yes, $1000. Not sure how but we did it. We're just good like that. Congrats and thanks to everyone who helped. We'll definetely be doing very well next year.

Otherwise I've been hanging out with Jess and other people a lot. Finally joined my 3rd RPG campaign this semester. This means 3 systems in a row (Saturday, Sunday, Monday). It's fun and I still have time for almost everything else.

Hurray for Thanksgiving Break. This'll be very fun. I get to go to Jess's, and apparently play KH2 (finally). Most of what happens has been spoiled to me since I watched Louis beat the game while at his house over break and overheard a conversation about something else that happens in the game. Oh well. I guess it's karma making up for not spoiling my first date with Jess (after 10 months). I have this knack for getting all the movies and books that I really want to read spoiled by someone. It's rather annoying but hey.

On another note I went to PLAY! and Sesame Place. Those were really fun and enjoyable although with obvious complaints. What was really fun was the second day I went there because I got many behind the scene looks at what was happening and got to go on water slides. This didn't happen the first day since Sammo and Isan were also with me (not that I'm complaining but that meant no water rides).

I guess that's about it for now. Will try to keep beter updates but yeah. See you all at some time.

Major update time #1

Well this will be a series of updates that will attempt to summarize what I've been doing on this vacation. Therefore I will start with Brasilia and work my way to Miami. Here we go.

Since I have already talked about Brasilia, I'll run through it quite fast.

Time for an update (finally). I'm still in Brasilia and I may or may not be leaving for São Paulo this Saturday. That will be found out today when I go to the airport and get things straightened out with Varig (Brasilian company that is about to croak). Hopefully I can get an extension for like the 13th or 15th of July instead of the 1st.

Otherwise I've been going to bars (not drinking... not eating either for that matter), LANning, playing guitar and piano, not drawing as much (unfortunately), parties, hanging out with friends, and I'm not really sure of what else. Ah yes, I finally managed to watch the Godfather Part I. Really good movie.

Also, my costume is finally going to be ready today (supposed to have been ready on Tuesday but hey) so I'll be having fun with that today. My aunt finally came back with the poster for Diplocon and it's amazing. I'll post it here as soon as it comes back in CD form.

Ok, that was kind of a very lame update. Lemme see if there's something interesting that I can actually put here. Oh yeah, I'm updating my site (woah) especially the page www.geocities.com/stuartslittle/where.html If you want yourself put on there, taken out or kept out, or want something updated, just send me a message. I'll be putting everyone I have a friend's page of on.

So, I've been badgered into updating (something that I keep telling myself I should do but then get side-tracked). Here we go.

I'm in Brazil and have been here for the past month in case anyone was wondering where I had disappeared to. I've been drawing a lot and soon will start on another project. Maybe someday I'll be able to draw from my imagination instead of sight-drawing something in front of me. Although I am proud that I've managed to draw a horse after over 5 years or not being able to get anything resembling one.

On another not I've been PR-ing a lot for Diplocon. That's 200 colleges gone and 200 more to go. There are a lot of colleges interested so that makes me happy.

On another note I still have not heard back about my scholarship since the Dean apparently never recognized my existence.

Been going out to a bunch of movies and learning massages (Hurray). I really should read the book some more (or at all) but I want to get all the PR-ing out of the way.

I think that's pretty much it...well... just for Pauline.

So much for updating more regularly. At least classes are over now. Just need to worry about exams. Things have been a lot of fun lately. Playing with Louis rats, working on the Prolog website, working on the WOT (War on Tibet) website, watching movies, doing my electronics project (proximity detector that emits different frquencies of sound depending on how close you are to it... shame it burned down an hour before I was to present it), started packing, watchign Saint Seiya and many other animes and all that good stuff. Tons of people remembered my birthday which really made my day. Also managed to participate in the Day of Silence, although at the anime meeting we have a Dub-it-Yourself for All Purpose Catgirl Nuku Nuku and I didn't get to participate. There will always be next time though. Tonight there's more anime and Rocky Horror Picture Show (for free). There has also been a lot of romance going on all over the place but I'll leave that for another day. Otherwise, it's been really great hanging out with the Millersville people these last weeks. They are so much fun. There will also be a Diplocon meeting tonight. Hurray for Diplocon. Make sure you try to come if you can. It'll be on November 3-5th. Anyway onto the music progress... don't think there was any. There wasn't... so never mind putting anything down. Hopefully will learn something again soon.

The week has been fun although it's a shame that the teachers pilled so much work on Jess. Wish I could have seen her more and hopefully that'll happen later on when she's done with her major projects and essays. Otherwise the week has actually been pretty productive. I managed to finish reading a book "And Then He Ate My Boy Entrangers" by Louise Rennison (Georgia Nicholson or Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging series), which is something that I haven't done in a long time. Well, besides Myst: Book of D'Ni which I finished over Spring Break. I just never really sit down to read. Next book is Harry Potter 6 (finally). Also met with a DJ for the international club party, heard about a teacher from Brazil who might be teaching Physics next year, played DDR, played a lot of RPG, hung out with people and watched Children of Eden. It was amazing. Tuesday we have Fum Follies (the faculty perform a play about what's been happening) and this one is called Harry Fummer and the Desperate House Dons. Sounds like it'll be fun. Anyway, onto the guitar information.

Quick update on the songs part. Hurray for Spring Break being over, at least because that means that people are coming back. Shame that people coming back = school starts again but hey. Anyway, onto the songs.

So, instead of waiting a month or so to update this, I'm going to spice things up by updating earlier (only 20 days since my last post). I know, quite a surprise, right? Well, enough delay so onwards to the update.

Spring Break, although boring for the most part (the time needed to decide what to do), it was quite productive. I managed to clean my room (not once, not twice but three times), I am almost done reading Myst: The Book of D'Ni, I send some things home so that I wouldn't have to worry about storing them over the summer, practiced guitar (first time in 3 months that it's been out of it's case), watched anime series that I've been meaning to watch (Tsubasa Chronicles and DNA^2), updated my site radically, and that is about it I guess.

Now I know a few guitar songs by heart so I don't need to rely on my music folder for everything. I've decided I'd keep a list of which songs I know to play by memory (and know the words) and a list of those I'm currently learning to play.

If you have any requests, just tell me them and I'll add them to the list and try to learn them. If can be anything as you can see from the songs I know. It can be even to try and create a song for a poem you wrote. I'm not saying that I'm good, just that I'll try my best and come up with something that fits.
